Sport England Success!

It's time to reveal SUWCC's worst kept secret...

Over the past few months we've been focusing on the indoor league we've just started for women and girls across Sheffield and South Yorkshire. The league caters for individuals of all abilities, helping people to get involved not just in the playing of the game, but the officiating too. To help us help the league to reach it's full potential we put in a bid to cover the costs of our plans, with an aim to help women's indoor cricket grow not just in South Yorkshire, but throughout the county. After weeks and months of drafting and redrafting, then a lot of anxious waiting, we are thrilled and extremely proud to announce that Sheffield University Women's Cricket Club have been successful in securing £7,433 of Sport England Small Grants funding!!!!!

Now it's time to work hard and put those plans into action, to do the best job we can and to make a difference to women's cricket in the community. Thank you to all who have helped us along the way, we certainly couldn't have done it without you!
